Distribution of Heated or Cold Air Through Duct Once the wind is warmed or cooled as explained above in the heat / cold source it should be distributed to various parts of your homes. This is accomplished with the forced-air, gravity or radiant system. A forced system distributes the heat produced by the furnace or the coolness produced by central air conditioner through an electrically powered fan, which is called the blower, this blower forces the air through a system of metal ducts to the room in your house. As the warm air blows from furnace flow into the room the colder air from the room flows down through another set of the duct, called the cold air return system, to the furnace to get warm and heated. This system is usually adjustable so you can increase or decrease the amount of air flowing through the home.
